Bantam C1 won gold in Port Alberni over the weekend. The Grizz went through the tournament undefeated - winning the semi final vs Nanaimo 3-2 and the final 7-6 vs Comox.
The final was a battle and the Grizz found themselves down 4-1 after two periods of play. In the third however, the Grizz came alive and regular time ended in a 6-6 tie. Overtime settled nothing so it went to a shoot out where the Grizz scored 4 of 5 which was enough to defeat a tough Comox team.
